Our History
Hinz Trucking is a family-owned flatbed carrier founded in 1985 by Dale Hinz and his sons Rod, Scott, and Todd. The company began in Holdrege, Nebraska, with ten tractors and ten hopper-bottom trailers.
As customer demand grew, the equipment mix expanded to include convertibles and dry vans before the company narrowed its focus to what it does best: flatbed freight. In 1992, Hinz Trucking outgrew its Holdrege location and moved to its current home along I-80 in south-central Nebraska.
Today, Hinz Trucking is a third-generation family business serving all 48 contiguous states.
Today, Hinz Trucking operates across 48 states with a fleet of 200 trucks and more than 350 flatbed trailers.
Now a third-generation company, Alec Hinz has joined the team to continue our tradition of family leadership and forward momentum.
